Screening the RFQs, analysis and review specifications, complete feasibility studies, determine scope of supply, cost and time estimates;
Respond and develop a front end proposal and responses to customer questions;
Ensure timely review of the customer’s RFQ and distribution of specifications to relevant parties for their input;
Develop, maintain and improve proposal templates for gas separation plants and ensure a high quality of proposals;
Develop and support sizing and costing programs and tools for different gas separation applications;
Estimate and prepare the detailed CAPEX and OPEX budget of the proposed gas separation plants;
Assist in the preparation of technical papers;
Apply the principles of mass and heat transfer for the design of gas separation plants;
Prepare drawings and process flow diagrams (PFD);
Prepare P&ID drawings, list s and other process engineering documentation;
Ensure that all aspects of the design meet the regulations specified in the project contract;
Assess capital and operational project costs;
Support sales for new business demands and developments;
Support job implementation by attending planning meetings, design reviews, etc.;
Conduct technical presentations and provide clarification to customers and other departments.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS :
Membre de l’Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) (Asset)
University degree in Chemical Engineering;
Minimum of five (5) years work experience in the design of industrial chemical process systems, preferably in the oil and gas industry;
Knowledge of Aspen Hysys, ChemCAD or Aspen process software (essential);
Verbal communication skills and technical writing skills;
Experience in the designing industrial gas separation and purification systems (considerable asset);
An understanding and ability to read and prepare PFD and P&ID’s (process and instrumentation diagrams) (essential);
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software(essential);
Knowledge in drawing software like AutoCad, Autocad P&ID, Chemical process modeling and simulation software;
Knowledge of MS Visio ( asset);
Calm, methodical and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines;
Experience with technical management and the ability to prepare detailed proposals;
Well-developed interpersonal attributes, team oriented attitude;
Interpersonal skills and organizational skills are essential;
High degree of precision and attention to detail.
Time management and proven organizational skills;
Ability to prioritize and schedule.
