As a Sr. Analyst in Database Development, you will be part of the Credit Operations Performance Team responsible for designing and developing a relational database management system.
Reporting to the Manager of Data Integration, you will own the process of connecting all the sources of data internally and externally, promote a disciplined approach to data management and improve the quality and consistency of information.
This position requires creativity and innovation, strong communication skills, and collaborate with various cross-functional teams across Rogers.
What you will be doing :
Ensure that best practices are applied in producing all research in order to guarantee the consistency and quality of work that Rogers is known for.
Adhere to a disciplined timetable for the completion of tasks.
Participate in projects that are timely and in line with the overall mandate of the department, with a focus on collection policy issues.
Attend , on behalf of Credit Operations Department, regular internal and external meetings as required.
Develop new ways to integrate data through various source systems to streamline operations and enhance our reporting capabilities.
Develop new and innovative reports around campaign performance and audience insights, and then automating them to work at scale
Work with IT resources to extend our data warehousing capabilities by landing new data sources and leveraging these assets in new reports, processes, and dashboards
Apply technical design and development skills to the creation of database programs
Analyze existing databases and data needs of clients to develop effective systems
Troubleshoot and provide solutions for any bugs in new database applications
Benchmarking key performance indicators of quality and service.
Identifying corrective actions to help reduce operational costs and increase service.
Assemble, analyze, scope business requirements & recommend most effective solution.
Strong hands-on development experience with Business Intelligence software’s
Prepare and present assignment / project details and status to management and cross functional teams as required.
Participate actively and in a cooperative manner for the achievement of Department objectives and contribute to a positive team spirit.
What you will bring :
A passion for working with data and systems
Demonstrated skill in communicating technical concepts at both high and deep levels, as appropriate
Strong working knowledge of advanced SQL, SQL Server T-SQL with at least 2-3 years’ experience.
Strong working knowledge of visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy and OBIEE
Strong problem solving & analytical skills with background in analyzing new requirements and assessing both business & technical impact
2-3 years’ experience as a reporting analyst / developer.
MS Access / TOAD programming would be an asset
Experience in working with partners

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in teaching and mentor new developers
