Intent of the process

Create inventory which can be used for indeterminate, term, part-time or casual appointments.

NOTE - casual employment means a short-term employment option to hire persons to the Public Service for a period not to exceed 90 working days in one department in any one calendar year

Information you must provide

Your résumé.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed.

Some essential and other qualifications will be assessed through your application. It is your responsibility to provide appropriate examples that illustrate how you meet each qualification.

Successful completion of a secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and / or experience.

Experience in planning and organizing meetings, workshops or special events.

Experience in preparing correspondence and drafting reports.

Experience with a word processing program such as Microsoft Word.

Experience providing information to internal or external clients in person, in writing and / or by telephone.

Experience in providing administrative support services

Successful completion of post-secondary school certificate or diploma (includes community college, CEGEP, technical college or university) in office administration or secretarial studies.

Experience as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces.

Experience in the analysis, data entry and tracking of correspondence or other documents.

Significant experience using spreadsheet software such as Excel.

Experience in preparing presentations or products using Freebalance or PowerPoint.

Experience in organizing and coordinating the activities of a manager's office including : determining priorities, managing an agenda / calendar.

Experience in the completion of travel and / or hospitality claims

Experience in interpreting and applying legislation and policy.

Experience in taking minutes at meetings.

Experience working in a legal office environment.

Experience working in a medical office environment

Experience in dealing with senior officials.

Experience in the use of FMIS to monitor and report financial expenditures

Experience providing support for one of the Human Resources disciplines (i.e. / Classification, Learning, Staffing, Labour Relations).

Experience working on a Wiki.

Experience using Federal Health Claims Processing System (FHCPS).

Experience working with PeopleSoft

Experience using an electronic filing system such as GCDocs.

Experience provisioning access to an electronic system or software.
