Job Summary

We are looking for an Assistant Technician in our Veterinary department located in Senneville (Ouest of Montreal).

As an Assistant Technician, you will be responsible for the welfare of all our research animals. Your success will ensure the health of our animals and the integrity of our preclinical studies.

  • 1000$ Sign-On Bonus
  • Salary : 16.25$ / hrs
  • Overtime paid at time and a half after 37.5 hours
  • Holidays : Paid at double time
  • Schedules : Mostly daytime , Monday to Friday. Based on company needs, you may be called to do weekend rotations, with the possibility of overtime.
  • Evening ($2.50 / hrs) and weekend ($2.75 / hrs) premiums
  • Annual bonus based on performance
  • What you will be working on

    You will be responsible for ensuring the health and welfare of the animals . You will make sure their environment is clean .

    You will also ensure that animals are handled with care for veterinary examinations and help prepare treatments as required.

    What kind of person are we looking for?

    We are looking for candidates with at, at a minimum, a Secondary 3 . An AEP (Skills Training Certificate) in Animal Care is an asset.

    The ideal candidate must be a team player who enjoys learning. They must be able to do physical work and have a good understanding of written English .

    Please note that upon being hired, you will have to undergo an annual tuberculosis test at the expense of the company.
