British Empire Fuels is looking for an accounting manager who shall be responsible for :

  • Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department of British Empire Fuels Inc.
  • Establishing and maintaining fiscal files and records to document transactions
  • Monitoring and analyzing accounting data
  • Establishing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures
  • Preparing accurate information for the Owners and Operations Manager, including financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and preparing financial reports and statements
  • Month-end and year-end process and audits
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable process
  • Reviewing general ledger and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner
  • Payroll and utilities
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Revenue and expenditure variance analysis
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and assistance to organizational departments
  • Provide recommendations and procedures and initiate corrective actions
  • Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Requirements

    The ideal Accounting Manager will have the following :

  • An accounting designation
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
  • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting background
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong computer skills
  • Strong analytical, collaborative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Skills

  • Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to direct and supervise
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
