This is a Maternity Leave Contract position with benefits

The Office Administrator is responsible for the professional and efficient task of welder qualification card production as required, in addition to supporting the Front Desk Reception staff when they are away.

It is important that for both responsibilities, the individual can work with minimal supervision, can display initiative and should possess high-level organizational and customer service skills.

This position will report to the Manager, Client Success Team and will work out of the Milton Office.

Primary responsibilities include :

  • Welder Qualification Card production

  • Reception
  • Client Support (internal & external)
  • Exam invigilation
  • Course facilitation
  • Education and Experience :

    Education Level

  • 2 Yr. Business Administration Certificate or equivalent general administrative experience.
  • Majors / Specialties

  • General office administration; Course administration.
  • Type of Experience

  • Reception experience essential in corporate professional environment.
  • Customer Service
  • In-classroom and online course administration would be an asset
  • Years of Experience

  • 2 years’ experience
  • Other

  • Bilingual English and French, preferred but not an asset.
  • Professionalism and customer-service skills to deal with visitors and clients required.
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills necessary to interact with a number of individuals.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Ability to work independently
  • Responsibilities :

    Other Administrative Support responsibilities :

  • Shipping supplies / exams as requested.
  • Ordering supplies for office, control / replenish stock in the mailroom.
  • Distributing all incoming mail.
  • Processing all outgoing mail.
  • Completing waybills and arranging for pick-up for courier mail.
  • Registering and assisting participants for all seminars.
  • Ordering coffee / tea / milk and other general supplies.
  • Arranging for taxis / limousines.
  • In case of an emergency placing a telephone call to Emergency Services and ensuring that all visitors have left the building.
