What you’ll do
Proactively identify opportunities and trends on Sales, Margin, and Inventory resulting in actionable insights and recommendations to influence results
Produce insights, reporting, and tools to support deep dive analysis on sales, assortment decisions, store tests, and pricing
Draw meaningful conclusions / insights from large amounts of data
Build and manage the Strategic Outlook model and process for the Consumer Brands division for all Owned Brands, major banners and subsidiaries of Canadian Tire
Build robust and interactive reports to shed light on key performance indicators
Develop a deep understanding of major performance drivers and assist business decision makers in the development of action plans to meet financial goals and mitigate risks
Develop a thorough knowledge of the brands portfolio and retail business in order to provide customized and relevant input
Present analytical insights and recommendations to senior management

What you bring
University Degree in Finance, Analytics, Mathematics, Accounting, or business related discipline
2+ years of experience in an analytical role
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SQL, Data Mining / Programming, VBA, and PowerPoint
Strong problem solving, analytical and strategic thinking skills; can see the "big picture" in a complex business environment
Aptitude to work with and manage large amounts of data and translate data into meaningful results
Proven ability to communicate financial information to non-finance business partners in a manner that can derive actionable insights
Ability to clearly and confidently communicate written / verbal recommendations and articulate trade-off
Able to influence through logic and persuasion, even in the absence of direct authority
Highly driven with exceptionally strong work ethic
Admirable time management and self-management skills
Strong knowledge of CTC Brands and retail planning and analytics experience
