We are currently seeking an Accountant M&A Integration to work from our corporate headquarters in Lisle, IL.

Accountant M&A Integration

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

The M&A Integration Senior will be responsible for accounting oversight on all mergers and acquisitions, from the due diligence stage through integration.

This individual will also be involved with the accounting and integration of acquisitions.

Specific Responsibilities of this Position Include :

Provide leadership and project management across functional teams

Assist in corporate acquisitions which include involvement in due diligence phase to integration.

Maintain presence throughout the acquisition phase to ensure that risks and opportunities for improvement can be identified.

Manage the integration plan to keep milestones on track and address or escalate issues and risks

Lead the development of detailed integration / separation plans and milestones

Upon acquisition, maintain a presence in newly acquired location alongside or separate from M&A team.

Coordinate timing of accounting deliverables to contribute to the month-end close and monthly financial review process.

Review all deliverables to ensure reasonableness, which includes but not limited to reconciliations, balance sheets, and income statements.

Implement any organizational or process improvements in connection with integration that provide greater savings or benefit.

Responsible for acquisition opening balance sheets including purchase accounting transactions, subsequent working capital true-

ups, and valuation of intangibles

Manage cash accounts, alongside with the Treasury team, to ensure timely closing of bank accounts

Work closely with the company’s internal and external auditors

Perform ad hoc analysis and assist with special projects as needed

Qualifications and Skills :

Minimum of 4 years of Accounting and Finance experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required

CPA and / or MBA desired

Proven leadership skills and strong decision making capabilities

Ability to manage and coordinate multiple competing priorities and requests

Strong collaborative skills and ability to work in a dynamic fast pace environment

Effective communication and presentation skills

Documented track record of leading, developing and executing several complete business integrations post-acquisition.

Proficient in the use of MS Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.

Able to travel up to 50% of the time (depending on deal flow)
