Role Description

Reporting to the Manager, Capital Projects, the role of Project Manager, Suite Renovations is responsible for monitoring and managing renovation activities including program scheduling, contractor performance and quality assurance while adhering to approved budgets and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure construction activities are initiated and completed within defined time limitations.
  • Manage contractor and supplier pre-qualification, selection and performance reviews.
  • Develop suite renovation budgets and renovated inventory schedules.
  • Develop and oversee key performance metrics to ensure overall compliance with project goals and objectives.
  • Manage cost reduction and efficiency initiatives to maximize renovation program financial benefits.
  • Oversee contractors and vendors to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Ensure safety guidelines are followed.
  • Draft, evaluate, and execute contracts.
  • Establish and maintain supplier relationships by serving as a single point of contact for contractual matters.
  • Provide contract-related issue resolution, both internally and externally.
  • Manage record keeping for all contract-related correspondence and documentation.
  • Communicate contract-related information to all stakeholders.
  • Provide regular status reports of key performance indicators and milestones.
  • Perform regular documented reviews and maintain progress reports.
  • Experience and Qualifications :

  • Minimum 5 years experience managing interior renovations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Architecture or Engineering is an asset.
  • PMP Designation would be an asset.
  • Ability to read architectural and shop drawings.
  • Understanding of construction safety regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes and building systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Robust skills in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel and Yardi would be an asset.
