The primary focus of this position is to successfully support and coordinate the implementation planning and execution of a wide variety of Network, IT and Business initiatives on the Rogers Network to support strategic Business plans and Capital Build Programs.
Assist Project Manager (PM) with Project Planning / Scheduling / Implementation.
Highlight and escalate any issue early in the stage to allow mitigation in a timely manner.
Follow-up with stakeholders and PM for problematic / incomplete / not finalized activities planned for following 3 days.
Assist PM to drive project activities to launch project according to project timeline.
Assist PM to deliver project within approved budget.
Assist PM to reflect accurate project updates in JIRA. Includes RAID log with all applicable risks by project.
Assist PM to create, compile, and issue reports as per requirements.
Coordinate and manage the Implementation Planning and execution of Project and Operational initiatives on the Wireless, Wireline and IT Networks.
Handle multiple projects / tasks in a rapidly changing environment and interface effectively with internal / external groups to meet committed delivery dates and service levels.
Coordinate the administrative tasks associated with the implementation of Technology activities / initiatives on the Wireless, Wireline & IT Networks as well as moves, additions and changes on the associated Elements and platforms.
Actively work with Vendors to ensure professional services deliverables meet overall Program / Project requirements.
Provide Technology Capital Investment Program Budget consolidation, analysis, reporting and communication
Compile and communicate Project / Program Status reports and decks to stakeholders.
Monitor and track the project milestones to accurately reflect project status.
Perform risk and conflict assessments and support technical resources with conflict resolution.
Act as interface towards Operations groups and quantify availability of resources to accommodate Project / Program scheduled activities
Use multiple tools like JIRA, Remedy, MS Office to manage submission and follow-up of Network Change Tickets and provide timely communications to Project / Program Managers on any inconsistencies, issues, progress, and activities completion
Coordinate Work Order / Work Tickets implementation with Engineering and Operations groups / primes
Experience & Education :
Post-Secondary degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecom or related field
Minimum 3-5 years of work experience, preferably in an ICT environment
Project Management certification would be an asset
Previous experience managing network change and implementation
Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite pivot table, formulas and macros for Excel; PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project, Remedy, SharePoint and Jira experiences would be an asset
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks
