  • Responsible for the development and promotion of a health and safety culture.
  • Play a support and coaching role to the employees and managers for environment and occupational health and safety management matters.
  • Promote a proactive OHS attitude within the plant sector.
  • Promote and coordinate prevention activities (corporate programs, risk assessment).
  • Participate in accident and incident investigations, prepare reports and follow-up, identify root causes in these investigations and ensure that appropriate control measures are implemented.
  • Develop, identify relevant training activities or needs, develop or launch various training programs.
  • Be proactive in the development and implementation of EHS internal programs.
  • Participate in the implementation and monitoring of the environment, health and safety management system (SGSSE).
  • Participate in internal and external audits (OHSAS 18001, government agencies and insurance partners, as required) and take part as internal auditor.
  • Lead and coordinate EHS meetings and activities.
  • Analyze the working environment (air quality, noise level, lighting, thermal stress etc.) in conjunction with his colleague from the other sector, and internal or external experts.
  • Manage the WHMIS system.
  • Lead of the rescue / first-aid team of his sector.
  • Prepare and record statistical data in the appropriate databases.
