Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager Production and Field Support, this position will provide design services required to support advertising, sales collateral programs and other duties as assigned and manage the coordination and collection of images for our content database used for print and online publications.


Design and support the creation of advertising, sales collateral and other projects as assigned.

  • Work with Senior Marketing Manager on the creation of marketing collateral to support Canadian objectives.
  • Develop materials from concept, execution through to completion.
  • Primary designer for all national graphic requirements.
  • Ensure all collateral is based on design principles and are in accordance to branding guidelines.
  • Prepare files for print and other promotional vehicles such as website, and Salesforce.
  • Evaluate and prioritize projects for implementation based on initiatives with Marketing and ensure availability nationally when applicable.
  • Manage the collection and loading of data (images) into the content management tool for our print publications.

  • Work with Merchandising and Vendor contacts to acquire the necessary collateral in the format we require.
  • Identify and define improvements to the process to continuously improve the quality of content available and reduce the reliance on 3rd parties.
  • Keep image specifications current and communicated to vendors for all product images.
  • Evaluate, prioritize and recommend projects for implementation.
  • Always bringing forward initiatives that can simplify processes and make available nationally.
  • Develop and maintain a work schedule which matches project initiatives with Marketing department; Resolve priority, schedule, resource and similar conflicts.
  • Manage the media database.

  • Understand all functional areas of the business tapping into the content database.
  • Establish appropriate naming conventions for all future data loads.
  • Establish a schedule for database maintenance to ensure accurate information is available online and server space is maximized.
  • Ensure that work activities are performed in accordance with established quality standards and methodologies.
  • Ensure that procedures, preferences and settings are documented to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
  • Liaison with 3rd party studios and IT department.

  • Ensure that procedures, preferences and settings are documented to ensure uninterrupted workflow in-house and for bringing on new suppliers.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient transfer of data between Content Management tool and 3rd party design agencies.
  • Provide troubleshooting to Project Coordinators on completeness of data transfers to diagnose and resolve production problems quickly and reliably.
  • Develop and maintain thorough understanding of company business processes within assigned areas of responsibility.

  • Understand the information and data they require and generate.
  • Develop and maintain thorough understanding of the computer application functionality required to make those business processes effective and efficient.
  • Propose changes to the process that improve our ability to offer print projects to the field in a timely manner.
  • Primary Interactions

  • Internal Daily interaction with Merchandising, Sales and other members of the Marketing team.
  • Occasional coordination with eway support team to support Sales Manager requests.
  • External Establish and build relationships with marketing support staff within our vendor community.
  • Work with the IT department to ensure you have information you need and provide feedback to them on the areas for improvement / customization of the program to improve our workflow and results.
  • Qualifications

    Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of the Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, Dreamweaver and Adobe Acrobat programs is a must.
  • Strong design skills including conceptual, style, typography for print and web. Strong knowledge of print and website structure and functionality.
  • Experience with corporate branding.
  • Experience with HTML and development
  • Comfortable working on PC platform.
  • Ability to manipulate images for size, resolution in various formats.
  • Ability to export files to meet printer file specifications.
  • Ability to plan project timelines and key indicators / milestones.
  • Track and report on status of projects throughout their life cycle.
  • Detail oriented for working with a database of images and proofing print material.
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
  • Bilingual ability is an asset. (French) Other duties as assigned
