Job Description The Day & Ross Transportation Group is currently seeking a full-time Bilingual Driver Approval Coordinator for our in Hartland, NB.

The Driver Approval Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that Corporate and regulatory criteria are met upon activation of all candidate drivers by following existing processes and protocols.

To be successful in this role, you will exceptionally complete the following (not an exhaustive list of responsibilities) :

  • Complete application approvals for broker driver applications within a three (3) day turn-around time
  • Review driver & broker applications; review; audit for completeness of all application information
  • Generate and review applicant PSP (U.S. National Driver’s Abstract) for violations, incidents, accidents, or inspections
  • Validate driving references as listed on the applications
  • Coordinate Dangerous Goods online training
  • Provide pre-activation approval to Broker Recruiter or Operations Manager
  • Receive and review completed road test results
  • Update and maintain driver files with supporting documents to the point of activation
  • Manage the drug and alcohol program for all divisions of the D&R Group
  • Ensure and coordinate all post-accident drug and alcohol testing is completed according to USDOT regulations
  • Ensure all pre-activation and random drug testing is completed for all drivers per USDOT regulations and company policy
  • Stay current with all regulations and training as required
  • Other related duties as may be required.
  • To be qualified for this role, please ensure your resume clearly displays some or all of the following :

  • Post-secondary education, preferably in business, office administration or relevant field
  • Suitable combination of training and experience may be considered
  • Two years’ experience in an administrative role, preferably in the transportation industry
  • Suitable combination of training and experience may be considered
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and the aptitude for learning new software
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills, with the ability to evaluate current situation, respond quickly to changing requirements, and execute accordingly
  • Strong sense of urgency coupled with robust organizational and time management skills; including the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced setting
  • Demonstrated customer relationship skills
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Able to work deadlines in high transactional environment
  • Ability to champion business needs in a collaborative manner to colleagues
  • Results focused
  • English, other languages an asset
  • Able to work with little supervision
  • The working environment can include long periods of sitting at a desk and on a phone.
