    Key areas of responsibility :

    The IT Field Technician, under the direction of the Service Delivery Manager, will primarily be responsible for providing information technology support, such as hardware maintenance, server security and software updates at client’s sites.

    This position will provide technical advice and assistance to clients by troubleshooting errors and fixing system issues via periodic testing, help desk tickets, and other methods.

  • Providing primarily on-site support, but also remote support as required
  • Resolving Tier 1 & 2 technical support issues concerning desktops, applications, networking equipment, back-up appliances, and mobile devices
  • Deploying workstations, installing preconfigured switches, and installing software
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of client networks, information, and issues
  • Working with standardized operating procedures or creating new ones when necessary
  • Ensuring the Customer Experience and Today-not-Tomorrow scores meet company expectations
  • Taking the initiative in keeping your talents fresh by-passing certifications
  • Skill and knowledge requirements

    We’re flexible but these are a must :

  • One year’s work experience in IT, or similar technical field work such as at an ISP
  • Valid driver’s license with regular access to a vehicle and a clean abstract
  • To be available from Mon-Fri 8am-5pm and evenings / weekends as situationally required
  • Assets

  • Customer service experience
  • Desktop Deployment Experience
  • Basic networking skills / certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA A+ / Network +
  • Diploma / Certificate in Information Technology or Similar
  • Being comfortable working on mobile operating systems such as Android and / or Apple iOS
  • Previous Experience working at an IT Managed service provider
