The Manager of digital and social marketing leads the digital, web and social strategy and implementation for Gateway’s casino and brands across Canada -
including casinos, gaming, entertainment and food & beverage brands, with a large focus on the signature restaurants, Match Eatery & Public House and Atlas Steak + Fish.
Using a focussed number of platforms and channels, and looking to ensure that our messaging is consistent and relevant, the Manager will collaborate with traditional marketing and creative teams to create cohesive digital campaigns, ensuring we are both reaching / growing our audiences, and establishing realistic metrics to measure our success in connecting with new and existing customers.
Working closely with marketing directors and managers across Canada, the Manager will create digital, web and social strategic plans, budgets and metrics.
The Manager will also oversee digital initiatives that aim to grow the database of customers. The manager will also work to provide best practices and training tools that are easily deployable in a de-
centralized operating environment.
The Manager oversees a marketing co-ordinator and marketing administrator, and provides leadership to marketing staff in graphic design, public relations and community relations across Canada.
Together you will work to drive traffic and site visits through guest engagement on a number of channels, including Facebook, Instagram, GDN, and our owned websites.
Provide strategic leadership and direction on all digital, web and social initiatives across core business segments
Chairs the corporate digital marketing committee that oversees the digital, web and social planning and execution
Ensures sites and F&B outlets have robust digital, web and social plans and calendars that support site and corporate business objectives and all core business segments (food & beverage, casino, entertainment and sales)
Prioritizes projects for the digital team and leverages internal and external resources to ensure timely work flow
Participates in the quarterly and annual plans and reviews with corporate management to provide updates and progress reporting on digital campaigns
Attends monthly marketing for larger sites and provides key updates, metrics on existing campaigns and direction on future plans
Develop paid digital campaigns in collaboration with the media agency and marketing colleagues
Manages collaboration for digital, web and social campaigns and budgets with other marketing colleagues that help sites and outlets achieve their business objectives
Manages relationship and projects with third party digital partners
Regularly liaises with site managers to understand site priorities and marketing initiatives
Provides leadership on best practices to integrate social into all corporate and site websites (develops and maintains a best practice model and training guide for sites and F&B outlets)
Ensures the competitive landscape in core business segments is actively being monitored
Provides quarterly insights and analytics reports along with recommendations to improve online performance
Diligently monitors internet, social pages, and referral platforms for company and brand reputation management
Uses experience to create new campaigns and tactics that will help drive the business
Ensures regular monitoring of all web and social channels to reflect current promotions, programming, artwork, content, and information etc.

Performs routine online audits of all websites, social pages, referral platforms, and apps to ensure all about’ and profile’ information is current, correct, and relevant.
Works with all digital teams and respective sites to update information and inform / educate sites as to proper use / management of various channels.
Become familiar with French Langue Services Act and maintain compliance for Gateway sites that are designated French.
What You’ll Require
A high school diploma or equivalency
Google Analytics and AdWords certification preferred
A degree or a minimum of 5-7 years in digital communications, digital marketing, SEO marketing
Experience with social media content curation and ad campaign management
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience with smart phone and popular social media Apps (Font Candy, Ripl, VSCO, iMovie, Cutstory, Canva, Spark Post, Facebook Page Manager)
Proven track record of taking ideas from conception through full execution, including measuring results
Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication, creative, and presentation skills.
Knowledge around brand, design, and restaurant / retail trends
Experience with content management systems (Wordpress is an asset)
Strong leadership and analytical skills
Experience in developing and implementing digital campaigns including budgets and metrics
Exceptional knowledge of internet, digital landscape, popular social media platforms, and mobile space
Ability to travel to various company properties including long distance trips to remote sites
Knowledge of email marketing best practices and Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation
Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and problem solve independently
Ability to work under pressure and deal with last minute changes and issues with a great sense of urgency
Ability to work flexible hours as per operational requirements
