    JOB SUMMARY

    The Reliability Project Leader is responsible for the continuous improvement of production and building services equipment.

    This role monitors equipment downtime and develops appropriate countermeasures to eliminate avoidable failures and maximize asset life cycles.

    The Reliability Project Leader will also be expected to plan and implement continuous improvement projects to ensure that maintenance protocols (including tasks, parts, frequencies, special skills or tools) are in compliance with cGMP and foster maximum reliability at minimum total cost.

    ADDITIONAL DETAILS

  • Establish and drive reliability engineering principles and best work practices
  • Collect, compile, and analyze equipment maintenance and performance data to develop metrics and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Direct and oversee continuous improvement projects
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and conduct root cause failure analysis investigations on failed equipment
  • Develop action plans to eliminate repeat failures, and implement corrective actions
  • Work closely with the Quality and Equipment & Facility Qualification Departments to ensure all continuous improvement activities are properly executed and approved
  • CANDIDATE BACKGROUND

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial
  • Minimum 1 years related experience with reliability, equipment improvement or installations and qualification, upgrade projects preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
  • High skill level in data analysis, compilation, and calculation in MS Excel (including macros)
  • Project Management and Lean Manufacturing experience would be preferred
  • Training in Reliability Engineering Principles and Practices would be an asset
  • Experience with CMMS system and SAP (or other ERP system) would be an asset
