VCA Canada Alta Vista Animal Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our established network of highly skilled professionals for a contract term.
You will have an opportunity to use your skills to the fullest potential! Our RVT’s are given the necessary tools and resources to be successful in pursuing multiple passions within our hospital.
Registered Veterinary Technician or eligible to register
Minimum of 3 years as a practicing veterinary technician
Previous surgical experience desired
Organize daily bookings and prepare caseload file information for Veterinarians and surgery team
Point of contact between Veterinarian, Pet Owner and specialty departments
Experience with and willing to enhance technical skills; anesthesia, CRI’s, epidurals and mechanical ventilators
Work closely with the ICU team and treatment team and assist where necessary
Ability to thrive in a steady and often fast paced environment
Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues
Proven ability to keep accurate patient records
Strong ability to problem-solve
