PURPOSE OF THIS JOB

The Senior Logistics Program Coordinator is a key member of the Logistics team and is responsible for supporting VF Canada in analyzing product flow and developing process plans for various logistics initiatives and activities associated with DTC strategy and operations and logistics.

This successful candidate supports the various logistics projects by developing and executing strategic initiatives, continuous process improvements, and specific efforts.

  • Additionally, this position will help develop and produce key indicators and metrics for measuring progress and produce reporting and data analysis that enables management to act on findings and recommendations;
  • to function as a liaison between outside strategic partners and VF Corporation, and providing services in the following areas :

    1) Strategic development and execution support of new projects / initiatives and continuous process improvements

    2) Logistics reporting and analysis

    3) Establish and enforce ongoing control-related standards and procedures.

    4) Support in Logistics operations and execution

    MAJOR ACTIVITIES TO ENSURE ACHIEVEMENT OF KEY RESULTS AND DELIVERABLES

    1. Logistics Strategy Support

  • Support Logistics Manager in collaborating with Logistics team and business partners to develop strategies related to cost, speed, and service
  • Ensure customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints to maximize sales, market share and profit for the company and customer
  • Foster and develop strong partner relationships with logistics and transportation.
  • 2. Logistics Project Support

  • Assist Logistics Manager in implementing various logistics projects, including projects / initiatives, process improvements and specific efforts for Inbound and Outbound Logistics with DTC emphasis and consumer-centric mindset
  • Support Logistics Manager in involvement and establishment for all projects phases from start-up to delivery
  • Ability to influence various stakeholders to perform and satisfy the deliverables of the projects and initiatives
  • Collaborate and partner with Operations / DC / DTC team and external logistics service providers to ensure the assigned projects are completed on schedule and meet expectations of the various stakeholders
  • 3. Logistics Analysis

  • In coordination with Finance, develop and analyze operational reporting for logistics management
  • Support Logistics in S&OP, including developing and publishing S&OP relevant content, including root cause analyses
  • Support the ongoing logistics supply chain analytics and optimization for VF Canada. Perform cost / benefit, root cause, trend, gap, and ROI analyses and provide recommendations
  • 4. Miscellaneous Support

  • Assume superuser role in all relevant systems (SAP, GTN, CASS, PKMS, Tableau, etc.)
  • Assist with daily logistics and transportation-related activities and resolve tactical issues.
  • Provide support to Operations, Forecasting, DTC, Distribution, Sales, and Customer Service teams
  • Use and support database applications and analytical tools to evaluate data quality, applications, and functions
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Education : Bachelor’s Degree in a related field relevant to the position requirements
  • Experience : 3-5 years experience in a related position emphasizing DTC logistics and transportation operations and has demonstrated an ability to manage and function in a complex environment with multiple constituencies
  • Ability to work through others to effectively navigate matrixed organization while ensuring that necessary stakeholders are informed.
  • Ability to drive results, influence people, and train others when appropriate
  • Must be a self-starter, quantitative-minded, and possess a proactive, innovative nature with project management skills
  • Strong collaboration skills. Works well in a team environment and cross-functionally
  • Able to work under pressure, optimize change management to react quickly on business requirements and setting priorities
  • Highly proficient analytical skills with Microsoft Excel, Tableau, and Access.
  • PMP certification (major asset)
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong financial background
  • Working knowledge of SAP, GT Nexus, NGC, PKMS, and CASS.
  • Must be willing to assume additional tasks outside job description (as needed)
