The Opportunity

As the Junior Operations Scheduler, you’ll report to the Master Planner for all our cannabis grow operations across Canada.

You’ll help plan and coordinate the planting and harvesting schedules across a wide variety of strains and grow environments to make sure supply meets demand for all of our products.

Whether it’s an indoor site, a greenhouse, or an outdoor field, you’ll be responsible for making sure we’re growing what we need and when.

You’ll also work on figuring out which strains grow best under what conditions and ensuring our research and development around new strains and variants is part of the planting schedule.

Along the way, you’ll learn and share best practices to ensure Canopy is rapidly learning and improving to maintain our position as the global leader in cannabis.

Because we’re making history - doing things nobody has done yet in places it’s never been tried - you’ll need to solve problems creatively and figure things out as they arise.


  • Coordinate with our various sites to set the planting and harvesting schedules
  • Update the master schedule based on plant conditions at the site and resource availability
  • Coordinate and ensure site-to-site mother and clone transfers occur on schedule
  • Monitor sites’ output and track against monthly, quarterly, and annual business goals
  • Analyze historical harvest data (such as yield efficiency) and adjust the company supply forecast as appropriate
  • Make suggestions around strain substitutions that maximize output while satisfying brand and product demand.
  • Track and analyze plant maturation times across sites and strains and make recommendations for optimal growing parameters.
  • Analyze site output and KPIs and make suggestions for how to improve.
  • Track and monitor our international expansion strategy and work with our global partners to coordinate and scale their growing operations.
  • Monitor the quality of grow-related master data and drive timeliness and accuracy
  • Support sites and process improvement teams in grow-related projects
  • Work with grow and harvest teams to ensure processes are being followed according to any required standard operating procedures for cannabis
  • Keep stakeholders updated of anticipated risks and delivery dates / delays and take actions to fix issues.
  • Track and update the overall capacity at the site
  • Other tasks as required
  • Experience

  • Experience in agricultural operations and scheduling
  • APICS / Project Management certification is an asset
  • ERP and supply chain planning systems experience is an asset
  • Experience with Kinaxis Rapid Response planning system is an asset

    This is a full-time position based out of Smiths Falls, ON or Toronto, ON that would require travel to various sites across Canada, especially in the Ottawa and Toronto areas.
