growing team. In this role, you will care for patients with a wide range of diagnoses and conditions. Most importantly, you will teach our complex patients to manager their own care to become as independent as possible.

Build on your career experience by :

  • Managing the effective utilization of hospital resources by coordinating the efficient and timely patient placement and bed utilization on site and at designated Fraser Health sites in collaboration with the Patient Transfer Network
  • Implementing appropriate policies and procedures and providing guidance to health care teams regarding patient access and community transitions
  • Coordinating and overseeing patient services during afterhours by providing guidance and direction for quality patient care and effective resource management when the service / network leaders are unavailable
  • Coordinating staffing requirements, supervising staff, adjusting assignments, identifying patient care issues and determining solutions
  • Representing management in dealing with issues pertaining to patients, families or community partners
  • Your background includes :

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
  • Five (5) years' recent, related clinical experience in an acute care, multidisciplinary facility including nursing leadership experience and preference to experience in critical care areas or access
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP)
  • This role is a part-time position located at ERH in Port Moody, BC. ERH is a 154-beds hospital in Port Moody, BC, offering medical, surgical, regional rehabilitation, cardiac and diabetes outpatient programs, as well as 24 / 7 Emergency services with 51,237 visits annually.
