Reporting to the Senior Manager, Organizational Development and working collaboratively with the Organizational Development team and subject matter experts, the Senior Advisor will consult with the business to determine the learning needs, design and / or source vendors to develop high quality instructional programs and materials to deliver learning solutions that advance leadership and functional competencies.
These solutions will build talent capabilities required to uphold a high-performing, global organization capable of delivering on our mandate.
Role Specific Accountabilities
Independently conducts needs assessments by partnering with subject matter experts and stakeholders to scope business and learner requirements
Accountable for end-to-end design, development and delivery of learning solutions that are aligned and highly relevant to the needs of the business and learners to create innovative creative blended solutions or to identify and develop best in class’ learning solutions with guidance from Senior Manager
Acts as a learning advisor and resource to the business on a broad range of projects, programs or challenges
Develops and facilitates train-the-trainer sessions, pilots, and / or provides feedback to internal facilitators within CPPIB
Independently researches, identifies and tracks best in class’ materials or sources for professional development
Produces insightful analysis of learning data and recommends potential learning solutions / options based on analysis
Actively embraces new and relevant learning and development and delivery trends and adopts best practices into the development of facilitation techniques and learning curricula
University degree with proven facilitation (both in person and virtually), instructional design, development and implementation experience
Experience in a complex corporate environment, preferably with global scope
Proven innovative use of technology and best in class’ design and development methodologies to provide effective learning solutions in a variety of delivery channels (instructor-
led, virtual and online)
Experience within a fast-paced, performance-based financial and / or professional service organisation with the ability to take initiative and proactively seek opportunities to add value
Demonstrated ability to consult (strong listening, oral and written communication skill) and work collaboratively with internal and external learning colleagues, subject matter experts and business leaders at all levels
Demonstrates effective project management skills, attention to detail, with an ability to produce high-quality work efficiently under tight timeframes
Ability to balance multiple learning projects at a time through various phases of learning design (analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation)
