Currently seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor that will be responsible for all aspects of a plant in Newmarket. This entails managing the facility, ensuring the plant operates efficiently, cost effectively, and safely.
Ensure production is maximized, conduct product cost estimations, ensure procurement of raw materials coincides with production, inventory, distribution and sales of products.
Manage, develop and train plant staff.
Duties :
Manage the recruitment, performance, and schedule of all production and shipping employees
Ensure business operations fulfill company requirements, meet company policies, and goals with Manufacturing, Production, Administration, and Warehousing departments
Use ERP system to maintain / update data, KPI, metrics, reports etc.
Develop processes nd procedures to meet requirements of the business and improve on communications
Work with the inside / outside sales team to meet customer needs
Oversee and monitor workplace safety program and WSIB guidelines
Monitor daily production activities
Assure quality standards are being met and conduct non-conformance investigations
Ensure stock transfers are accurately completed in a timely manner
Monitor and authorize purchase orders and expense items
Monitor warehouse management using AX
Ensure utilization of storage facilities are maximized
Monitor security, HVAC, heating, Electrical, Structural maintenance requirements and coordinate any services needed
Review costing, plan and ensure settlements are completed
Participate in management planning processes and external operational teams
Qualifications :
Post secondary education in a related business discipline preferred
5+ years of experience as a Operations Manager / Manufacturing Manager / Manufacturing Supervisor / Plant Manager etc.
Must have manufacturing environment experience)
2+ years experience in health and safety
Strong leadership skills
In-depth knowledge of manufacturing, production planning, warehousing, and procurement
Knowledge of legislations pertaining to employment, human rights, safety, WSIB, and transportation are required
General knowledge of supply chain management, costing, and estimation is a must
Strong knowledge of MS Office, Dynamics AX, and ERP''s
