We are currently hiring for Personal Support Workers (PSWs) in Malton, ON who are available to work the evening shift (4 : 00 PM to 11 : 00 PM) and every other weekend.

  • Responsibilities :

  • Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, toileting, skin care, light meal preparation, feeding, etc) in personal residences or facilities.
  • Continually assesses, anticipates, identifies, and responds to new and changing needs of patients and communicates available Total Care resources to patients when appropriate.
  • Perform delegated and / or assigned tasks under the supervision of a Home Support Supervisor.
  • Staff is required to travel within the assigned region between patients’ residences or facilities.
  • Qualifications :

  • Have one of the following qualifications (required) : Valid Personal Support Worker Certificate from a Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities or the Ministry of Education approved program.
  • RN / RPN Student who with a minimum successful completion of year one of the program.Internationally licensed Nurse, Midwife, or Physician.

  • Physical ability to meet the demands of the job (ex : the ability to stand, bend, walk, crouch, kneel and reach freely for extended periods, ability to lift 23 kg independently, ability to assist clients with standing, walking, sitting;
  • able to reposition clients in bed)

  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional personal care and customer service
  • Valid Standard First Aid and Level C CPR
  • Valid Vulnerable Sector Criminal Check
  • Updated immunization record including TB Test (last 6 months)
  • Proficient verbal and written English communication skills (Additional language skills considered an asset)
  • Valid G level driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle is an asset
