GENERAL PURPOSE AND FUNCTION :
The Installations Manager will be responsible for taking a technology project from the sales representative and see it through to completion to the satisfaction of both the client and the key metrics (profitability, timeline ) as defined by G4S.
Will be responsible for managing the internal processes, executing and reporting on the status of Installation projects to the Director of Operations.
The Installations Manager will be responsible for managing the relationship between G4S and its sub-contracted partners in conjunction with the Director of Operations
The Installations Manager will be responsible for the installation technicians; the quality of their work, the scheduling and timeliness of their work and client satisfaction with their work
The Installations Manager will be responsible to stage equipment and ensure that both the client, the site and the product is prepared for the project
The Installation Manager will be responsible to ensure that the project completion documentation and reporting is completed per G4S standards and timelines.
Will be responsible for resolving customer service issues in partnership with the Director of Operations
Continually maintains and promotes a professional image of the Company
SPECIFIC DUTIES PERFORMED AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Specific Task or Responsibility
Receive installation projects from sales and coordinate equipment, manpower and client expectations to ensure a successful installation and completion
Ensure updates are provided for invoicing
Ensure adequate inventory for installation tech to complete project. When possible stage the equipment in our project room.
Work with the Service Coordinator to manage and dispatch service and installation technicians to perform work (email or phone) and ensure there is adequate follow up to clients to remind and confirm appointments
Ensure technician is confirming service call with client (reminder)
Review work orders to determine if time and material resources adequately match the project.
Manage sub-contractor base and report any issues with subcontractors
Director of Operations
Support the efforts of the Service Coordinator by assisting with coordinating labour when required
The Ideal Candidate
BASIC REQUIREMENTS A CANDIDATE MUST HAVE IN ORDER TO BE HIRED : Formal Education, Licenses and Certifications Required :
Minimum 6-10 years work-related experience in an Installations Management Role in the Security Industry (equivalent experience will be considered)
Basic IT and structured cabling experience would be a definite asset
Demonstrated experience in project management, continuous business process improvement
Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
Intermediate proficiency with Excel and Word
Exceptional verbal communication and written skills
Staying current on the entire line of security solutions provided by G4S Canada
III. OTHER RELATED ATTRIBUTES THAT WOULD ENHANCE HIRING CONSIDERATION :
Prior security-related Installations management experience is mandatory
Project management experience
Bilingualism, French / English would be an asset
