This position is responsible for analyzing and presenting financial, operational and CI results to regional management monthly and as requested.

This position operates within somewhat flexible parameters. The primary goal of this position is to support the Regional Financial Business Partner and local and regional management to achieve excellence in all facets of operational finances and business decision making analysis.
Essential Functions :
Collects, analyzes and presents financial and operational results and associated CI metrics to regional management monthly.
Serves as a subject matter expert on the financial, commercial and operational drivers of the business; disseminates information on a routine basis to regional management.
Proactively prepares consultation, interpretation and education materials on financial and operational matters.Performs analyses, as directed by the Regional Financial Business Partner, to support varied business decisions.
Assists and prepares capital commitment requests (AFE) and IRR analyses for the region.Works in coordination with AMR Finance and Accounting to confirm accurate Oracle coding and cost centers, AFE, invoices, etc.
Assists in driving continuous improvement initiatives within operations.
Reviews leases and contracts in an effort to provide lowest-cost terms and conditions.Assists in making sure items are classified correctly in terms of capital vs. expense.

Supports the Company’s Internal Control process which includes understanding, communicating and complying with defined internal controls as well as suggesting and making modifications to the policies, procedures and controls to better relate to the business.

Interpersonal Contacts :
Interpersonal contacts include operational management, accounting and finance management and other SSI departments as necessary to discuss related issues.
Contact methods include phone, face-to-face and Skype Meetings.
Job Conditions :
Average office environment with little natural light. Occasional exposure to dirt and dust related to scrap yard environment.
Work pressure can be substantial during peak times, requiring considerable adaptability. Overtime will be required to complete deadline work.
Some travel likely to be required between locations within the region, or to the corporate office.
Physical Activities Required to Perform Essential Functions :
Visual acuity needed for close detail work, preparing and analyzing data figures, accounting, and computer use.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field, with 5-7 years experience in the field. Financial modeling and proven skills in accounting.
CPA, CMA and / or CFM desired. Oracle or other major ERP system experience preferred. Proven skills in Microsoft Excel and Word software.
Working knowledge of Windows and MS Office Suite a plus. Additionally, this position requires the ability to work under time pressure to meet deadlines and to be able to operate with minimal day-to-day direction, be able to work from general guidelines and be able to make the majority of decisions needed to successfully carry out assigned duties and projects.
This position requires possession of a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive an automobile.
Excellent analytical skills and a basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements are required, as are well-honed problem-solving skills.
Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Strong planning, organizational and project management skills. Ability to work and cooperate with others to complete various tasks with established deadlines.
Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to leverage these skills to successfully present business cases and resolve various types of negotiations.
