Our client is a national supplier of tool, equipment and safety product lines for the Canadian market. Their products include : abrasives, air tools, hand tools, material handling, lifting equipment and safety apparel and products.

They are a privately held, proudly Canadian company recognized as a leader in the wholesale distribution of tools, equipment and safety industry.

Their head office is located in Coquitlam, B.C with six branch offices strategically located in the major cities across Canada.

General Summary

Reporting directly to the Inside Sales Manager the Customer Service Representative will be responsible for maintaining the day-

to-day sales order input activities and supporting the inside sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Process all sales orders through fax, email, and telephone which includes order details such as : price confirmation, availability, credits, and warranty claims;
  • Verify customer and order information for correctness, checking it against previously obtained information as necessary;
  • Maintain the sales email address and the fax email address;
  • Contribute to the team by offering inside sales support by relaying appropriate information to the inside sales representative;
  • File purchase orders daily, to ensure the company is following guidelines;
  • Maintain operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes;
  • Perform administrative and office duties such as filing, updating customer information, and contributing to general office functions.

  • Excellent computer skills : Order processing with computer and database systems;
  • Attention to detail : very detailed oriented and has a history of not making errors;

  • Ability to handle a high volume of order entry in a fast-paced environment;
