The Records and Information Lead will be responsible for establishing policies for records management, retention schedules, imaging, electronic classification, communication standards and records disposition.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for the successful execution of records transfer for an ongoing acquisition.
Responsibilities :
Establish a records and information management policy framework for the corporate records of the organization
Implement the records and information management program using the RecordPoint software platform
Ensure the successful transfer of information and records to our client throughout an ongoing acquisition
Provide expertise in areas of file planning and metadata capture
Work closely with the integrated management system and assurance programs at our client to deliver effective and coordinated policies
Manage the existing physical record inventory and initiate a file digitization plan to reduce the footprint
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
Complete reporting requirements and support audit efforts
Design and implement company processes and training to guide staff in the management of their records and use of the organization’s records system
Travel to field sites as required to work with field users and file rooms
Provide great customer service to clients
Demonstrate strong written and verbal communications skills
Qualifications : Required :
Required :
University degree in Library Science or closely related field.
7+ years of related experience in records management.
Preferred :
Demonstrated ability to work under demanding timelines.
Knowledge and experience with records management best practices.
Extensive experience with SharePoint and document management software. Experience with RecordPoint will be considered an asset.
Ability to understand complex problems and provide solutions.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Proven working experience in the records management field, preferably in the midstream industry.
Knowledge of federal / provincial records management legislation and regulations
Previous experience with asset and corporate acquisitions will be considered and asset.
