Responsibility includes the Operations work plan and any associated work including creation of all job packages requiring external coordination for locates, permits, right of ways, etc.
and balancing the portfolio for the most efficient use of time and resources across all work being performed in within Operations.
Planning an appropriate amount of capacity for Operations crews to respond efficiently and effectively to emergency calls requiring their skillset.
Executing the continuous improvement of workload planning processes and practices with a vision of driving toward best in class workload planning and future target operating model at Enbridge Gas Inc. (EGI).
Maintains relationships with regional management teams and has a dotted line relationship to the management team in the region.
Provides additional support to field supervisory staff by conducting analysis and providing recommendations on potential resource gaps that would impact on the team’s ability to complete annual workload, and performance of work groups in the field.
Effectively resolves escalated customer or field staff issues in alignment with company policies.
Define and implement work methods that will provide value and required service levels to field clients and to customers through industry benchmarking, observation and response to trends evident in the customer contact area.
Provide feedback to field supervisors on performance and productivity of field and front line staff.
Responsible to serve as on-call Dispatch Supervisor to support our after hours Emergency Dispatch and team that is unsupervised from 5pm to 7am in the event of a safety sensitive issue or major outage and may have other on-
call responsibilities as required (region specific).
Provide input and guidance on new corporate initiatives in major process or system improvement projects related to workload planning
Qualifications : Required :
Related university degree and 10-plus years experience OR ten-plus years of previous field operations experience, OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience.
TSSA Certification (ie. GPI, G1 or G2 Gas Technician, etc.)
Incident Command System (ICS) Certification up to ICS Level 200
Demonstrated Project Management experience. PMP Designation would be preferred.
Significant experience in Field Operations, Construction or Engineering
Excellent understanding of company policies and procedures
Expert level knowledge of planning, scheduling and queueing methods and practices
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and deliver results
Excellent interpersonal skills including building consensus, negotiation and facilitation
Proven experience in leading, motivating, developing and monitoring activities of staff
Demonstrated business and financial acumen
Strong computer and data management skills including the use of Enterprise Resource Planning tools
Experience leading people in a collective bargaining environment and understanding of labour relations practices and principles.
Advanced Degree or Professional Designation preferred (eg. P.Eng, CPA, MBA, PMP, etc.)
Incident Command System (ICS) Certification up to ICS Level 420
