We are seeking a Documentation and Engineering Change Coordinator to join our lean and agile team in our New Westminster, British Columbia facility.
This role reports to the Head of Engineering.
This individual will manage product and engineering changes from concept design through to implementation and production.
This individual will also align all of our processes with our manufacturing partners.
Duties & Responsibilities :
This role’s primary focus will involve engineering change drafting, tracking, and reporting.
Manage product changes from concept through implementation with our manufacturing partner.
Liaise with the PMO, purchasing, service, and our manufacturing partner, to ensure proper checks and measures are in place to execute product changes in a timely manner.
Provide guidance to the engineering team to effectively prioritize engineering activities and develop reports on engineering change progress.
Assist in developing product metadata and bills of material (BOMs), and provide input on efficient structuring of product data.
Assist with the development and release of controlled documents and processes.
Lead the continuous improvement program within engineering.
Provide input on efficient structuring of product data to ensure that the needs of organizational stakeholders are consistently met.
Effectively communicates all changes to engineering processes with the engineering department and cross-functionally, to ensure all production and engineering processes are aligned.
Other duties as occasionally required by your manager and company leadership.
Assist with new engineering initiatives as assigned by your manager.
5+ years of experience managing engineering changes in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.
A Technical diploma from a recognized institution is required.
Automotive experience is considered an asset for this role.
Experience with Solidworks and Atlassian (Jira) software is considered.
Professional and self-starter attitude, innovator.

Experience with PLM or other product management tools a must.
Experience developing cross-functional systems and processes.
Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Team player comfortable working cross-functionally with multiple teams.
