Job Description

Z Modular is seeking a Design BIM Coordinator . This position is responsible for supporting the BIM manager and processes for the company, including Revit standards and processes.

The ideal candidate will support with innovative solutions to increase efficiency in design and production, including creating custom parametric families and output to SAP and robotic systems.

The candidate will work closely with our in-house Architect / Engineers in residential design, and must be skilled with design documents.

Ideally have a passion for modular construction, automated fabrication systems and parametric design.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

The candidate will oversee Revit management and user processes :

Management Support design processes and modeling in Revit

SOP Set up templates, BIM contracts and standards for use by all disciplines

Development Coordinate BIM processes for shop drawing from permit drawings

Drawing Help to create, maintain and change ASMEP models throughout project

Parametrics Creation of parametric families and processes

LOD Set model standards for LOD 300 / 350 / 400

Communication Liaison with Design team, Contractors and Fabricators

Clash detection Develop processes for interdisciplinary coordination

Output Coordinate BOM (bill of material) output with SAP financial software

Teaching Assist / instruct designers in Revit and suggest continued learning

Licensing Manage and track software licensing

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES :

Experience 1+ years working with Revit in an Architecture or Engineering firm

Bachelor’s Degree Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering (Prof. or Tech.)

Certificates Autodesk Certified Professional : Revit

Communication Liaison with Client, Design team, Contractors and Fabricators

Design Thorough understanding of construction documents in ASMEP

Software Revit, AutoCAD, Dynamo and Navisworks; Solidworks an asset

Advanced BIM Clash review, Parametrics, custom Families, BOM to SAP, VR / AR

  • Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role
