Intern Sales, Product Management, Business Development -Summer 2020 (May to August) 4 positions available

SYNNEX Canada is offering paid internships with the opportunity to gain experience with a Fortune 200 company in Toronto, Ontario.

We look for students who possess strong interpersonal skills and have an interest in starting a career in Sales, Product Management and Business Development.

As an IT Distributor, we buy IT products (hardware, software, accessories, etc.) from OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), such as Lenovo, Avaya, Microsoft, and sell to Resellers.

  • Our interns work in one of the above areas to gain experience working on meaningful business projects. Our Toronto location has close to 300 employees on-site and is a high energy, fun environment to gain corporate experience;
  • with a Canadian headcount of over 800 associates.

    As a Summer Intern, you will be working exclusively in one (1) of the following departments for the required work term Sales, Product Management or Business Development.

    In addition, an executive mentor will be assigned to you for the duration of your work term.

    Our Sales Interns are responsible for :

  • Maintaining sales accounts and enter sales orders in an organized, efficient and effective manner
  • Performing basic research to include looking up multiple lists in database
  • Maintaining required sales documentation
  • Gathering information from call out campaigns
  • Assisting with projects as needed
  • Interfacing with Product Managers, Credit, Customers, Traffic Specialist and Customer Service
  • Our Product Management Interns are responsible for :

  • Working proactively with vendors, sales and resellers to ensure effective information and sales flow
  • Working with the Product Management team to produce presentations, handouts, newsletters and other marketing materials as needed
  • Providing Sales, Marketing and vendors with market and customer research including market trend analysis and extrapolation from reports, new trends to the IT industry, competitor sizing and pricing research, web-based selling trends and techniques and others
  • Assisting in general department organization, file management, system and process coordination
  • Special projects on market profiling, pricing analysis, customer lists and analysis, housekeeping
  • Our Business Development Interns are responsible for :

  • Supporting strategic marketing / product line business plans
  • Helping to Increase revenue and profitability
  • Seizing market share from all SYNNEX competitors
  • Helping up sell and cross-sell SYNNEX product line to resellers
  • Assisting in coordinating and participating in SYNNEX’s Sales & Reseller training and activities
  • Building Reseller relationships
  • Your passion is sparked by :

  • Intern must be a rising senior with a 3.2 GPA or better currently enrolled at an accredited College or University at the time of the internship with a graduation date in 2020
  • Able to complete a 12-week program at 40 hours per week
  • Demonstrated business communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to converse with customers effectively over the phone
  • Proven interpersonal skills and capable of learning, applying and presenting sales principles / techniques within a short timeframe
  • Advanced computer skills capable of multi-tasking and / or work on multiple sales accounts concurrently
  • Must be number and detail-oriented
  • High degree of ethics and integrity a must
