Under the immediate authority of the Distribution Product Marketing Manager, Capacitors & Filters Division, the Product Engineer is responsible for the marketing component and carries out activities relating to the mechanical and electrical design of capacitor units and capacitor banks.
1- Establish strong communication and interaction with the personnel from the Regional Sales Offices, the Regional Managers and the customers.
2- Prepare and submit bids based on the customer’s specifications.
3- Liaise constantly with the customers / representatives / Regional Managers with respect to the bid development and process.
4- Ensure the design of products and / or systems.
5- Analyze the content of the orders received to ensure their compliance with the bid requirements and negotiated agreements, this from a commercial and technical point of view (terms and conditions).
6- Transfer the contracts received to the Project Leader.
7- Provide technical support to the customers and the Sales Representatives / Regional Managers through proper knowledge of products.
As an expert, provide clear answer to the questions raised. Give information to others regarding technical issues.
8- Verify the drawings of the bank components and, from time to time, participate in the approval process.
9- Make sure that financing and insurances are available for the projects, as required.
10- Visit customers, make presentations, where required.
11- Work in a long-term perspective in order to meet the needs of the customers.
12- Control the progress of a project with regard to the different stages or schedules established.
13- Ensure achievement of all objectives.
14- Follow up orders and customer complaints; inform the customers of the project progress status.
15- Update the database of the Product Engineers (QuoteLog and SalesForce.com) for all bids and orders completed.
16- Within his scope of authority and competence, perform all other tasks not specifically mentioned in the present description and required by his immediate supervisor.
