An Advanced Technology Engineer in the ION Routing group performs a variety of complex activities including :

  • Exploring the use of new IC, PCB, component technology for future design
  • Engaging suppliers in technology roadmap discussions to remain aware of latest technologies and to convey Nokia technology needs.
  • Working with EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Supplier) to ensure technology readiness at the assembly level

  • Assess the reliability and applicability of new technologies for Telecom applications
  • Oversee complex failure analysis investigations to determine root cause
  • Perform hands on failure analysis and laboratory work when necessary
  • Work directly with Hardware Designers to implement new or existing technology on designs
  • Qualification :

    Graduated with either Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgical Engineering degree

    Have good understanding of electronic products, and assemblies

    Have good understanding of semiconductor technology and IC packaging

    Have good understanding and able to perform failure analysis

    Some experience in running Design of Experiment (DOE)

    Preferably with minimum 2-3 years of SMT process, or IC packaging, or PCB fabrication experience

    Proficiency in basic computer

    Good communication skills & interaction skills

    Ability to work independently and self-organized

    Capable of managing changes and multi-tasks during the development phase

  • Highly self-motivated; Good problem-solving skill; Able to work effectively under pressure; Team work spirit; Accountability;
  • Ability to learn and adopt quickly
