Department Overview The Integrated Marketing Planning team is responsible for partnering with the business units and channels within TD to create and execute world class marketing plans that drive shareholder value and increase customer loyalty.
The team owns creating consumer insights, monitoring trends, building marketing strategies and plans, developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns, management and allocation of the marketing budget, and measuring / improving in market results.
As a key business partner, the marketing planning team acts as a key consultant to the business on all aspects of marketing, influencing the business strategy, as well as ensuring that the TD brand is protected and delivered in the customer experience.

Consumer Insights and Trends; Leverage market research and apply customer insights to kick-off documents and marketing campaigns / programs.
Identify research gaps and plan market research. Interpret consumer information and trends for your business
Build and Protect the Brand; Ensure integrated marketing campaigns are designed for a positive customer experience and support the brand.
Understand end to end customer journeys and support the business to deliver the brand through customer experience.
Influencing and relationship management Influence and have an impact on marketing strategies that span across programs to meet business goals.
Build and manage strong relationships with Agencies, Business Units, Marketing Partners, Legal and Compliance, and other internal departments to deliver effective marketing programs.
Marketing Strategies and Plans : Understands market and growth drivers, creates a vision of market, channel, and segment potential, develops value propositions and proof points that further our competitive advantage, and translates business strategies into marketing plans.
Creating Integrated Marketing Campaigns : Creates a detailed picture of the target audience, including demographic, attitudinal, and behavioral data.
Translates marketing objectives and consumer insights into communication strategy (benefit, offer, reason to believe RTB or proof points).
Creates an inspiring creative brief for media and creative agencies, evaluates and judges creative campaigns and media strategies based on their impact on customer behaviour.
Understands role of different media options and their impact on achieving marketing objectives recommends and executes tactical media and creative plans.
Leads cross-functional marketing teams to deliver all elements of campaigns including, targeted and channel marketing.
Deliver and Monitor Results : Ensure stated objectives are delivered on plan (monitor / early indicators) and where required, take corrective actions to achieve targets.
Analyze past results and make recommendations to maximize ROI. Evaluate effectiveness of in market activity - PIR (including recommendations).
Telling our Story able to effectively communicate the results and sell the value of marketing. Provide marketing recommendations across programs / LOBs
Builds Innovative Solutions : Actively contributes to driving the spirit innovation among the team. Brings external thinking / ideas to problems.
Identifies gaps and uncovers "white space" (unmet needs). Influences product development with innovative and creative ideas from inside and outside TD
Budget and Project Management : Leverages the best practices of OMLC (stage gate process) to manage projects in the most effective way (on time, on target, on budget) from initiation to completion.
Able to navigate through roadblocks by engaging key stakeholders / sponsors. Leads multi-functional teams through the project.
Track and manage budget against plan, meeting all financial reporting requirements
Analysis and Problem Solving : Focuses and defines the problem to solve, engages resources across functional boundaries to gather data and insight, draws insight from data, making correlations and connections to deliver meaning from disparate sources of data.
Leverages data combined with judgment and intuition to make recommendations and drive action. Leverage data to tell our story and make recommendations that are simple and concise
Job Requirements Post-secondary education in Business or Marketing
MBA would be an asset Additional Information 7-10 years of Marketing experience, with working knowledge of marketing strategies and a demonstrated ability to apply them.
Strong analytical skills and ability to deliver actionable recommendations from analysis. Project and budget management experience.
Ability to lead / influence cross-functional teams. Inclusiveness
