We are looking for an SMT Process Engineer. The successful candidate will have extensive continuous improvement experience, excellent communication skills, and strong organizational abilities.

They will join a team of engineers who are aligned around a goal of continuously improving our manufacturing environment.

This role is primarily supporting our world-class SMT facility and offers the opportunity to have a strong personal impact on the results of the business.

Responsibilities :

  • Work in a team-oriented manufacturing environment to support existing products and help transition new cameras to manufacturing
  • Create and maintain SMT programs according to product requirements, best practices, quality objectives and cycle time
  • Troubleshoot SMT equipment, program, and process failures and drive permanent fixes
  • Define and monitor KPIs for SMT programs, processes, and equipment
  • Identify and implement improvements to SMT programs, scheduling, and equipment
  • Implement and refine preventative maintenance processes for SMT equipment
  • Track SMT equipment lifecycles and the state of the industry and propose upgrades based on department goals and production capacity
  • Review new hardware designs for manufacturability (DFM)
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years SMT manufacturing and process experience
  • Experience in SMT programming and optimizing SMT process parameters
  • Experience with IPC-A-610, SPC techniques, and Lean practices
  • Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent teamwork, strategic thinking, and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
