The Alberta Motor Association (AMA) is on the lookout for a passionate, resourceful Product Owner who is a great communicator, negotiator, and facilitator.
You will be a part of the agile delivery team, responsible for gathering requirements from stakeholders, modeling business processes, refining vision into clear functional requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria, rationalizing, planning, prioritizing and monitoring the acceptability of stories in a timely manner using the AMA Agile Framework and tools.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Report to the Agile Program Manager, Insurance Services.
Gather business / user requirements to support the functional or business solution by conducting interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process description, uses cases, tasks, and workflow analysis.
Provide recommendations to users regarding enhancements to business processes and applications.
Plan and prioritize stories within a sprint plan.
Participate in daily triage / scrum meetings to resolve issues, addresses changes and report on progress.
Work with scrum team members to ensure the sprints content produces a functional package to leadership and key stakeholders.
Communicate with other agile team members to resolve any issues before escalating to the Product Manager.
Report sprint metrics to identify any major issues by keeping the AMA tracking tool up-to-date and running metric report required for regular status cadence meetings.
Decompose the features into user stories to support priority business value delivery.
Provide data to facilitate decisions, mitigate risks, or take other actions.
WHAT YOU'VE DONE
You have post-secondary education / certification, or you are actively pursuing it in an applicable functional or business designation for the specified content area of management.
You have minimum 3 years of industry / functional experience under your belt in participating on multiple teams.
You have facilitated requirements gathering and business process modeling sessions.
You have a firm understanding of agile project delivery methodologies and a certification would be an asset.
