As a software developer for connectivity, you will contribute to the development of the connectivity domain for GM’s Infotainment system.
Your contribution will enable customers to connect their personal consumer devices to the vehicle infotainment system. You will be part of a new software initiative at GM Canada which is also operates as part of the larger GM global Engineering team.
This role will leverage prior software development experience in industry standard connectivity solutions such as Bluetooth, Bluetooth Low Energy, WiFi, NFC, P2P, USB, and SIP etc.
and will also enrich the connectivity capability through standards which offer integration between personal electronic devices and infotainment system such as MirrorLink, and Android Auto etc.
Who We Are Seeking
7+ years of Bluetooth experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent field
Advanced degrees preferred
Android Bluetooth Stack experience (Bluedroid, Fluoride)
Bluetooth profiles for automotive (HFP-Client, PBAP-Client, A2DP, MAP-Client)
Strong C & C++ Knowledge, Java service (BluetoothService) knowledge
Knowledge of the different classes like WiFiManager, WiFiStateMachine, etc.
Qualcomm / Broadcom chipset knowledge (dhd drivers)
wpa supplicant & nl80211
WiFi-Direct (P2P), Hotspot 2.0, RSDB & VSDB
