What is the opportunity?

This individual will provide leadership in establishing and driving strategic and tactical Quality Engineering / PE initiatives for Digital Cheque Processing (DCP).

They will be responsible to develop / execute testing strategies across all levels of testing ensuring that the team activities meet objectives.

They will drive the implementation of QE Program and overall QE process and standards in DCP.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for managing testing and performance teams and aligning to RBC Quality Engineering practices
  • Develop and execute test strategies and plans across all levels of testing (component / service, transaction / integration, end-
  • to-end) for the portfolio, leveraging automation, optimization, API testing, test data management, test environment management and continuous integration / delivery where applicable

  • Responsible for managing resources and vendor coordination, driving alignment with RBC practices and efficient usage
  • Provides expertise, direction, coaching and development to build the team capability in areas such as QE, Agile, DevOps and other RBC processes and practices
  • Accountable for maximizing automation for all project functional and non-functional testing deliverables in portfolio
  • What do you need to succeed?

    Must-have :

  • Experience in a variety of test tools (Robot Framework, Selenium, TestNG) and script development using scripting languages (e.
  • g., Perl, Python, Bash, etc.); optimization tools (e.g.

    Conformiq); Non functional tools (HP LoadRunner, JMeter), HP Fortify, Application monitoring tools (Dynatrace, AppDynamice) etc)

  • Minimum 5 years of experience developing and implementing program / project end to end, functional and non-functional testing strategies but not limited to performance, security and operability
  • Experience leading test case design at different levels, test optimization and automation efforts and identifying automation opportunities
  • Experience in performance engineering activities including load work modelling and application monitoring, test scripting and results analysis
  • Computer Engineering, Computer Science, related (technical) degree / diploma, or related breadth
  • Very good communication skills with ability to focus and prioritize and solve complex technical problems
  • Nice-to-have :

  • Experience using source configuration tools (GIT, etc.)
  • Hands-on programming experience (e.g., Java, C, SQL DB querying)
  • Experience as a developer
  • Experience with cloud solutions such as ElasticSearch and Kafka and frameworks such as Spring
