Assigned to the Software Vertical Practice of NetSuite Professional Services - a Subject Matter Expert level resource for Revenue Recognition and Advanced Accounting Topics

Key Responsibilities include:

Provide Consulting Services:

  • Document and validate customer’s business requirements and map to NetSuite functionality
  • Configure the NetSuite application to meet customer’s business requirements
  • Attend project meetings and provide status on progress of activities and deliverables
  • Be a “go-to” resource for specific functional areas: Order-to-Cash process, including revenue recognition; and Advanced Accounting, including financial reporting, international consolidation, and parallel accounting.
  • Provide Sales Support:

  • Support the sales cycle through solution review and feedback
  • Assist with scoping and estimation
  • Participate in C-level prospect discussions regarding solution overview and implementation considerations
  • Leadership:

  • Increase engagement and capabilities of Professional Services resources including:
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to assist in resources' career development
  • Build team's expertise and confidence in project delivery work

  • Be fully versed on functionality released with each new product upgrade
  • Solid understanding of configuration options and tools available to extend standard functionality

  • Demonstrates excellent judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Ability to resolve complex issues per defined parameters and procedures, and escalate when necessary
  • Document clearly and timely solutions and issues encountered
  • Preferred Education Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting or Management Information Systems
  • Master’s degree or post graduate coursework strongly preferred
  • Preferred Professional Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree - OR - 8 years with a Master’s degree.
  • Consulting experience in ERP or accounting and revenue systems such as SAP, Oracle, Intacct, MS Dynamics, RevPro
  • Pre-sales consulting experience
  • Experience with ERP software in a SaaS environment
  • Mastery of the Order-to-Cash process, preferably in Software or High-Tech companies
  • Extensive understanding of revenue recognition process (including Multi-Elements Arrangements) and extensive exposure to ASC605 and ASC606 (IFRS 15 a plus)
  • Fluent in foreign currency topics (including accounting base currency, foreign currency transactions, revaluations) and international consolidation (including Cumulative Translation Adjustment)
  • Integration design experience a plus
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office Products
  • NetSuite ERP Consultant certification
  • Detailed Description and Job Requirements

    As a recognized authority and leading contributor within their practice, this senior-level consulting position provides consistent high quality and innovative solution leadership to a project team. Leads the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget.

    Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle solution meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen. Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to deliver functional and technical solutions on non-routine and very complex aspects of applications and technology installations. Provides direction and mentoring to project teams, and effectively influences customer leadership on key decisions. Supports the business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the consulting sales team by providing domain expertise. Resolves complex customer issues by recommending and implementing solutions. Demonstrates expertise in multiple business processes across two or more product families or ability to architect and design technology solutions encompassing multiple products and make decisions based on impact across the stack.

    8-10 years of experience relevant to this position including 4 years of consulting experience. Prior team leadership or management experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Strong influencing and negotiation skills. Ability to travel as needed.
