Location : Toronto (Downtown)

Responsibilities :

  • Establish formal communications to increase the awareness, understanding and training where required regarding the Vendor Information Risk Management to all stakeholders involved with Vendor Lifecycle Management.
  • Quarterly reviews of divisional Vendor Risk Assessments to ensure the associated methodology has been followed precisely.
  • Implement consistent risk management and full second line of defense oversite on all significant project and change initiatives.
  • Assist in setting strategy, goals, and targets for our team and for Informational Risk Management for the Global IS function and leverage the VIRM framework to measure & report on the achievement of vendor informational risk management goals.
  • Collaborate with other Vendor Lifecycle stakeholders including the Procurement Office, Legal Counsel, Audit Services and peer Technology Risk Management leads globally.
  • Qualifications

  • University Degree (Computer Science, Business or Finance preferred).
  • Seven years or more of progressive experience in one or more of the following disciplines : Operational Risk Management, Information Technology / Systems, Information Risk Management, Project Management, Audits, Information Security ideally with some of that time spent in a large, complex organization.
  • Professional certifications or designations in security, IT auditing, or risk analysis a plus, but not a requirement.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) including presentation skills and demonstrated ability to present at all organizational levels.
  • Researches and investigates independently new issues and innovations to maintain currency of technical expertise
  • Develops tools and approaches to improve efficiency and quality of task execution
  • Balances competing demands with little management direction / support
  • Innovative problem solving skills with the proven ability to exercise flexibility and judgment.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, engage and influence others, work with a diverse internal and international user community, as well as vendors.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to be sensitive and professional when communicating across geographical and cultural boundaries.
  • Effective influencing and negotiation skills with the aptitude to achieve consensus in a federated environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively simultaneously, while managing multiple priorities within tight deadlines.
