Your responsibilities

  • Perform various electrical and mechanical tests required for the manufacturing of transformers, including leak testing and product packaging.
  • Inspect the finished products to meet the customer’s expectations and ABB requirements.
  • Perform the required tests and verifications related to the receipt of goods, test the compatibility of raw material, including all required oil tests.
  • Conduct audits, internal audits or inspections to maintain quality and environmental management systems.
  • Maintain quality control records.
  • Acquires data using the IT management system, performs administrative and technical duties.
  • Ensure compliance with the established methods or processes, identify, diagnose and follow up on non-conformities (NCR) related to manufacturing problems.
  • Perform or validate minor repairs to the products.
  • Manage and perform special processes.
  • Support employees in mastering some technical aspects, such as ISO.
  • Participate in the tests and follow-up of prototypes with the Engineering, Quality and Production teams.
  • Provide technical support to employees.
  • Perform preventive maintenance of test equipment, including the maintenance and calibration of OSH and environment measurement equipment.
  • Validate the safety of the plant tests.
  • Perform the tasks or other related duties as per the instructions of the supervisor or other person in authority.
  • Your background

  • College diploma (DEC) in electrical, electrotechnical or electromechanical engineering, or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate information clearly, both orally and in writing, to supervisors, suppliers and other administrative staff
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows tools
  • Judgment and initiative
  • Available for any training or development program as part of the position
  • Relevant years of experience in a similar role or equivalent (an asset)
