Founded in 1978, All Weather Windows operates Customer Solution Centres across Western Canada with manufacturing plants headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta.

We are currently recruiting for an Quality Assurance Technician to join our Edmonton team. If you embrace variety and change and are looking for a growth environment favouring the development of competencies, then come join us!

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Supervisor, the Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for testing the finished product and raw materials to ensure optimal quality and performance that meet or exceed product standards.

The ideal candidate will bring excellent organizational and problem solving skills and will have the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.

Some of the responsibilities include :

  • Checking dimensions of finished products against CAD drawings and work traveler specifications
  • Checking along production lines to ensure quality standards are being met during product manufacturing
  • Completing SPRs for defective raw materials
  • Sending completed SPR and a sample of defective raw material to supplier, Supervisor, and other involves parties
  • Drafting regular inspection sheets and writing daily reports detailing testing and investigations completed
  • Performing chamber testing on random finished product samples- air and water testing
  • Assessing defective product returns from customers
  • Instructing proper quality assurance troubleshooting techniques and assisting QA Technicians in identifying and solving problems with quality
  • Assisting in troubleshooting quality assurance issues
  • Qualifications :

  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
  • Manufacturing / production experience
  • 3-5 years Quality Assurance experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Sense of urgency and time management
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent problem solver
  • Strong MS Office skills including, Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
