To provide administrative support to several cardiologists in the Division of Cardiology with respect to their clinical, research and administrative responsibilities at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
While our employees work in offices within the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, they are employed by Ottawa Academic Cardiology Management Corp.
Basic Requirements :
Diploma in Office Administration OR other combination of education and experience, along with demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Minimum 2 years of recent related administrative experience.
Advanced knowledge of computers, including MS Office, electronic mail, clinical information systems and ideally Pubmed, Adobe Pro and CCV software.
Excellent interpersonal , oral and written communications skills.
Able to work independently with a high degree of organization and attention to detail.
Able to take initiative, to meet deadlines, be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment.
Superior problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
Preferred knowledge and experience with hospital processes and policies, professional licensing bodies and granting agency requirements.
Advanced medical terminology.
Spoken and written French fluency is preferred.
