The Senior Technology Officer (STO) is accountable for managing a Production Support team that provides 7 / 24 Level on-

call support. The Senior Technology Officer for Offline will be accountable and ensure that the team also provides implementation, and day to day support of application offline processing.

The Offline manager will also have the accountability for ensuring management and Compliance of Application Access Management (RACF)

The Senior Technology Officer is also accountable for ensuring the team delivers on-budget completion of project deliverables while adhering to BMO standards.

The Senior Technology Officer will be a focal point for Offline Production processing and will liaise with our Line of Business groups, other production support teams and our technology development teams for all offline processing.


Possesses a university degree / college diploma in applied technologies and / or 10+ years’ experience in state-of-the-art financial application development with expert business knowledge

Possesses project management skills

Possesses practical experience in application development, testing and client solution delivery

Demonstrates knowledge of design and analysis methodology and application offline processes from both an industry and BMO perspective

Possess solid understanding of Application Offline Implementation and deployment strategies as well as an expert understanding of relevant and emerging technologies and industry directions

Skills :

Possesses expert communication skills, both written and verbal

Must be able to work evenings and weekends as required

Demonstrates leadership / people management skills

Possesses an ability to manage multiple projects high in complexity and of strategic importance

Is capable of resolving diverse, complex and ambiguous issues and situations

Is able to manage change

Is able to work independently
