The TELUS Emerging Technology Solutions sales team brings the power of smart-technology to life for our customers. Bring your proven sales experience, eye for business and strategic insight to help owners and executives stay focused on their key priorities and partner with them on all-important digital transformation journeys.

This is a challenging, consultative sales role, with equal parts of autonomy and collaboration. Emerging Technology Solutions Sales Professionals at TELUS drive customer relationships and account strategies.

You will build trust with your customers and champion TELUS inside of customer organizations and advocate for the customer inside of TELUS.

You will be the Subject Matter Expert for our Connected Worker solutions portfolio, working in collaboration with our technology partners and account teams while engaging executive leaders as required.

Here's How

  • Enthusiastically articulate the transformation stories associated with TELUS Connected Worker and Smart City offerings
  • Identify, qualify, advance and win new opportunities with or without the TBS account Sales Executive
  • Meet and exceed revenue sales objectives and grow monthly recurring revenues
  • Manage a range of opportunities, the associated reporting and account planning to support the achievement of sales objectives
  • Maintain high levels of knowledge and expertise regarding our Connected Worker solutions and their impact on helping our customers increase safety, productivity and compliance
  • Engage and work closely with extended team members including account Sales Executives and the broader account team : other Sales Specialists, Product Managers, Operations Managers, Service Managers, and Partners, in order to deliver the required value for our clients
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, quotations, contracts, and supporting documentation
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements
  • You are the missing piece of the puzzle

    You are likely in a similar role, today, with 5 or so years of experience in a face-to-face sales environment, applying formal sales methodologies.

    You have experience helping customers solve complex challenges through innovative and emerging technology. You are an experienced forecaster, linking account plans to both customer and TELUS strategic drivers.

    You have knowledge of or experience with most of the items below :

  • Business and technical acumen - demonstrated ability to identify and articulate financially sound TELUS solutions to customer's business problems through understanding the technologies, products, services and resources
  • Proven ability to create corporate relationships between TELUS and our customers that are characterized by mutual trust and respect for the TELUS value proposition
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel as required
  • Great-to-haves

  • Knowledge or previous experience in Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) industry
  • Technical Sales experience
  • Solution selling methodology knowledge
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products and customer relationship management tools
  • Comfortable using social media to build networks
  • Connected and active within your community and local business associations
