Reporting to the Planner Manager, you will be responsible for supervising a team of planners and production coordinators.
Duties include team management, management of part flow across multiple focus factory areas and sites, resolving schedule issues, driving daily recovery plans and updates, and outside supplier / Interco management.
This position will be on shift (7 : 00am 3 : 00pm)
Continuously monitor and drive part recovery plans in support of MPS and CRD.Lead the team in supporting focus factories in managing bottleneck work centers and alternative work plans.
Use and develop inventory planning tools to ensure part SWIP levels are maintainedDrive the team to identify late and critical parts, and work with the required focus factory leaders to develop the required resource and machine plans to recover.
Ensure schedule adherence and plan accuracy of all parts.Manage team to ensure WO releases are completed on time and managed through to closure.
Lead aging and idle WIP reduction weekly in support of the site's inventory reduction goals.Identify gaps preventing the execution of the production plan and work to resolve issues.
Support team escalation of issues as required. (QN's, shortages)Drive the team for opportunities to reduce days to manufacture.
All production planning activities to be coordinated around meeting the MPS in SAP and the site goals of 95% OTDActively engaged in ACE operating principles, lean initiatives, LDMS, and Quality.
Participate in process improvement teams, by attending meetings and supporting team initiatives.Coordinate the management of all open WIP.
Elevates potential impacts to ship plan, customer or financial plan as necessary.Perform other duties as assigned

Bachelor's degree with 3 years of relevant experience or in an absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is required
1-3 years supervisory / management experience required
APICS certification would be considered an asset
Strong product knowledge of landing gear and actuation systems
Demonstrated strength in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project within a Windows environment
Demonstrated experience and proficiency with SAP
Demonstrated ability to understand bill of materials (BOMs) and routings
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a time sensitive, deadline-oriented environment combined with strong organizational skills combined with the ability to manage multiple priorities
