As a Senior Advisor, Financial Governance, you'll propose mechanisms to reduce risks related to financial integrity and optimize profitability by improving the quality of the financial information produced and the resulting controls.

Make sure the Bank meets the requirements of Canadian Securities Administrators National Instrument 52-109.
Keep abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices.
Implement and follow up on strategies to improve how processes are carried out in business units and continuously improve controls related to financial integrity.
Act as an expert in monitoring risks and controls related to financial integrity for complex cases that involve understanding the accounting systems and principles used in the Bank's various sectors.
Update documentation related to internal controls on financial information and run tests for complex mandates.
Participate in committees or complex special projects that require high-level expertise and represent the Bank in dealings with various outside organizations and agencies.
Develop control mechanisms to validate data from various systems and complex data.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 7 years of relevant experience OR master’s degree in a related field and 5 years of relevant experience
CPA accounting designation (CA, CGA, CMA) or CFA professional designation obtained
Experience in internal or external audit and / or experience with mandates that involve regulating financial information
Knowledge of the Bank's products, systems and services
Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
Knowledge of the eGRC application, an asset
Ability to work as part of a team, good communication and influence skills
Ability to summarize information and good judgment
Bilingualism, spoken and written (English and French)
