This opportunity reports to the Senior Leadership team of a long term home care facility, this is a fast paced environment. Core Responsibilities
Coordinating services on location for dietary, housekeeping, administration, maintenance, day programs, housekeeping and nursing.
Oversee standard operating procedures and programs.
Communicate with staff, clients, families and residents to continue to exceed client and family expectations.
Prepare annual operating budgets, monitor budgets ongoing for efficiencies in addition to preparing reports for the leadership team.
Oversee and contribute to the Occupational Health & Safety program to support an environment promoting a culture of safety from harm or injury.
Perform the day to day operations following practices outlined in legislation and regulations, policies and standard care.
Develop on-going relationships within the local community, external agencies and other health care facilities.
Oversee direct reports, take directive action as required.
Works closely with Senior Leadership Team and with union representatives.
Being on call 24 / 7 to handle situations as they arise.
A graduate degree in Health Service Administration partnered with ten plus years of experience in a similar role in management or leadership.
An active CARNA (College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta) registration or other similar professional organization’s active membership.

Makes well informed and thought out decisions that support the overall facility with the ability to make effective decisions when details may be limited.
Ability to set out realistic goals in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team focusing on the desired outcome, comfortable working under pressure.
