The Saskatchewan Health Authority Saskatoon and the University of Saskatchewan, Department of Pediatrics, is seeking applications for a Pediatric Cardiologist for a one year locum term, commencing July 2020.
The Department of Pediatrics is dedicated to providing exemplary health care for children, ensuring excellence in training of future pediatrics health care providers, undertaking meritorious research and advocating for the health and well-being of children and youth.
Inpatient and outpatient Pediatric Cardiology care is delivered in Saskatoon as well as a monthly outreach clinic in Regina as part of a shared practice with three other Pediatric Cardiologists.
Opportunity for use of sub-specialty skills is available for most Pediatric Cardiology sub-specialties.
The new Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital offers state-of-the-art equipment and facilities for children, mothers and families from across our province.
Centrally located on the University of Saskatchewan campus, our new children’s hospital offers neonatal intensive care, pediatric intensive care, general pediatrics, pediatric emergency and ambulatory services.
Maternal services include labour and delivery, antepartum and postpartum care. The 176-bed facility provides the highest quality of care and put Saskatchewan at the forefront of research and innovation.

Applicants in consideration will have Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) certification or hold eligibility to obtain certification in Pediatric Cardiology with the RCPSC and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS).
