As a Production Operator you will work in one of STELIANorth America’s production departments.You will maintain high quality workmanship standards as specified in STELIANorth America procedures and work control documents to produce high quality, ontime products for our customers.
Ideally you will have one (1) year of generalmanufacturing experience and experience related to the production department towhich you apply.
Candidates will alsopossess a Grade 12 diploma (or equivalent) or equivalent experience .Some of our available production roles are :
Kitting / Raw Materials Operator
As a Kitting / RawMaterials Operator you are responsible for the basic operation of our Lectramachines.You will assist in loading,unloading of material rolls and pattern parts and will sort and bag patternparts in accordance with control documentation.
Additionally you will fill out material usage logs and environmentalrecord sheets
Lay Up Operator
As a Lay UpOperator you will lay up compound curve panels and build ups, standard laminateparts and test panels.You will knowwhere to cut, overlap and butt joints.
Additionally you will learn to identify and handle raw materials andconsumables such as honeycomb, potting joints, adhesive films, foam and foamadhesives.
As an AutoclaveOperator you are responsible for the operation of routine to medium complexproduction cures using your knowledge of the fabrication, usage and maintenanceof vacuum line and thermocouple assemblies.
You will perform loading / unloading and setup of parts for curing processin the autoclave and process the load and cure documentation and autoclaveusage logs
As a DemouldingOperator you are responsible for extractingcured parts from tooling and cleaning and preparing the part for furtherprocessing.
You will remove parts from tools and perform preliminary quality assessment ofdemoulded parts.Additionally you willclean and prepare tools for lay up and inspect tool condition and advise onrefurbishment / repair.
As a FinishingOperator you carry out a wide variety of tasks including washing of parts, useof sandblaster and / or orbital sander and other sanding methods, fillingcracks / pinholes, and preparation of parts for painting.
You are able to prioritize and sequence yourworkload in accordance with scheduled demand.Additionally you are responsible for the completeness and accuracy ofall data requirements as specified in CAL procedures and work controldocuments.
As an AssemblyOperator, you are responsible for assembling finished parts, which generallyrequire attaching the composite part to a pre-fabricated frame or parts usingvarious bonding techniques.
You will mixand apply bonding adhesives and sealants used in making parts and use powertools and cutting equipment to assemble parts using standard bonding, rivetingand fastening techniques.
